MY REASON WHY
There are countless benefits to participating in high school sports and activities, but a lot of concerns as well. To overcome resistance and drive participation, #MyReasonWhy highlights diverse stories and memories shared by students, parents, coaches, officials and community members. We’re working together to show how participation not only develops individual skills and character for the future but drives a stronger sense of self and community that students will feel immediately and for the rest of their lives. To share your story visit www.nfhs.org/MyReasonWhy and share your story.
COMPETE WITH CLASS NOMINATIONS
In an effort to establish and sustain the Compete with Class initiative, the NMAA will be highlighting acts of sportsmanship through various awards and recognition programs during the 2017-2018 school year. In order to do this, our office NEEDS YOUR HELP! Acts of sportsmanship by individuals, coaches, officials, administrators, spectators, or teams as a whole should be reported to the NMAA office as they occur. Photos of these acts would also be appreciated. Send your nominations to Tyler Dunkel at tyler@nmact.org.
