Pecos 77, Texico 73 (F/OT)
The top seed Panthers built up a double digit lead in the first half, but a late rally by Texico forced overtime. Ismael Villegas led the way with a game-high 27 points. Pecos hit 10 three pointers in the game.
Hot Springs 53, Sandia Prep 42
Hot Springs advanced to the final behind a 21 point effort by Verrels Lukman. A 13-8 run to close out the game put this one away.
Newcomb 50, Mesilla Valley 48
Deondre Begay led the way with a team-high 20 points.
SFIS 48, St. Michael’s 35
SFIS was led by James ridges with 19 points.
Girls
Robertson 62, SFIS 46
Robertson won their first ever girls state basketball title. Robertson’s Alianza Darley led the way with 27 points.
Pecos 53, Mescalero Apache 46
Mescalero forced overtime with a last second bucket at the buzzer, but the Lady Panthers took home the blue trophy after outscoring them by 7 in the extra four minutes. Brittany Martinez led the champs with 22 points.
