2A-5A BASEBALL BRACKETS ARE POSTED
The 2019 State Baseball Brackets are posted for 2A-5A. First round games for baseball will take place this weekend, May 10-11, at the home of the higher seed. Please note that 2A Baseball first round games will be played on Wednesday, May 8th.
3A-5A SOFTBALL BRACKETS ARE POSTED

STATE GOLF ENTRY DEADLINE
2019 State Golf entry forms must be submitted by 8:00 am, Tuesday, May 7th for all individual and team participants in class A-3A and by 8:00 am, Wednesday, May 8th for classes 4A & 5A. STATE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2019 Casas Del Rio State Tennis Championships presented by Corley’s Albuquerque Lincoln will take place this week, May 8-11, at Jerry Cline, Sierra Vista and Albuquerque Academy. Singles and doubles competition will take place beginning Wednesday at 3:00 pm, while the team competition will start Friday morning at 8:00 am.

The 2019 State Track and Field Championships begin Friday, May 10th for classes A-3A. Complete details are available on the Track State Championship page.
BASEBALL / SOFTBALL SEEDING AND SELECTION COACHES INPUT FORMS
Athletic Directors: Please remind your head baseball and softball coaches to complete and submit the 2019 baseball or softball Coaches Input Forms. These forms play a vital role in the seeding and selection process. Class A baseball and A/2A softball are due Sunday, May 12th. District Chairs must also submit the District Placement forms for baseball and softball at this time. These forms are due prior to 8:00 AM on the day of seeding. 4A-5A STATE TRACK/FIELD ENTRY DEADLINE
4A-5A Track and Field coaches are personally responsible for entering all athletes that have qualified for the state track and field championships into the Direct Athletics website no later than Sunday, May 12th at 11:59 p.m. Failure to do so will jeopardize your athlete’s entrance into the State Championships and late entries will result in a $500 fine to the school.

2018-2019 NMAA MEMBER SCHOOL PARTICIPATION SURVEY
Attention Athletic Directors – Click here for the 2018-2019 NMAA Member School Participation Survey. This survey will be used to collect student participation numbers in both athletics and activities for member high schools across New Mexico. The New Mexico Activities Association is again working with the National Federation of State High School Associations to collect this data and your assistance is greatly appreciated. Please submit your completed form to the NMAA office by fax at (505) 923-3114 or via email to jackie@nmact.org. The deadline to submit your school’s participation survey is Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Although you may only be able to directly provide student participation numbers for athletics, please work with your colleagues to provide as much data as possible for activities as well. NMAA FOUNDATION GOLF CLASSIC
The 13th Annual NMAA Foundation Golf Classic presented by Gardenswartz Team Sales is Monday, June 3, 2019 at the UNM South Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque. Teams are $500 or $125 for an individual. Hole and team sponsors are still available. Entry fee includes green fees and cart, range balls, and lunch, player gifts and prizes for both the a.m. and p.m. flights. For more information, contact Dusty Young at dusty@nmact.org.
COMPETE WITH CLASS NOMINATIONS
In an effort to establish and sustain the Compete with Class initiative, the NMAA will be highlighting acts of sportsmanship through various awards and recognition programs during the 2018-2019 school year. In order to do this, our office NEEDS YOUR HELP! Acts of sportsmanship by individuals, coaches, officials, administrators, spectators, or teams as a whole should be reported to the NMAA office as they occur.
