2019 NMAA/NMADA FALL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
The 2019 NMAA & NMADA Fall Leadership Conference will take place September 29-30 at the Marriott Pyramid Hotel in Albuquerque. The conference will feature several NIAAA Leadership Training Courses on Sunday the 29th along with a general session for mid school athletic directors and additional networking opportunities during the NMADA Social. Monday will then feature numerous professional development opportunities along with the NMAA’s Annual Report & Meeting of Schools – these sessions are mandatory as each school must be represented by their athletic director or designee. MEMBER SCHOOL’S “OFFICIAL VOTER” DESIGNATION
NMAA Bylaw 3.12.1 states “The administrative head of each member school, with local Board of Education approval, appoints the “Official Voter” for the school. The “Official Voter” is the school’s voting representative for all matters pertaining to the business of the NMAA when the referendum is required.” NMAA Bylaw 3.9.2 requires that the “Official Voter”, and other staff information, is posted on MaxPreps on or before September 16. NMAA HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS
We are currently seeking nominations for the NMAA Hall of Fame. The nomination form for the NMAA Hall of Fame can be found by clicking here. Nominations are due by September 27th, 2019. If you have any questions about either of these awards please contact Chris Kedge at chris@nmact.org
ATHLETIC TRAINER ALL ACCESS PASS
All athletic trainers need an NMAA All Access pass to gain complimentary entrance into NMAA sanctioned events, including state championships. Please have your athletic trainer fill out the online application and submit it to the NMAA by September 16, 2019 in order to receive a pass for the year. The application form is available here.
MEMBERSHIP DUES, FEES AND CONTRACTS
Membership dues/fees and contracts have been mailed to all schools. Please be sure to submit these to the NMAA by September 16, 2019. MAXPREPS VIDEO TOOLS
The NMAA, along with MaxPreps has created a series of three videos to help Athletic Directors and Coaches set up accounts, give access to schools or teams and enter rosters and schedules. COMPETE WITH CLASS SCHOLARSHIP
The New Mexico Activities Association, in conjunction with the NMAA Foundation, will be awarding a maximum of eight (8) $1,000 Compete with Class scholarships during the 2019-2020 school year. Awards will be given to students that best exemplify the three pillars of the Compete with Class sportsmanship initiative – Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility. Recipients will be selected by the NMAA Foundation Board of Directors based on recommendations from the NMAA and its member schools.
