Extraordinary Participation Scholarship presented by the NMAA Foundation – Marina Seheon – Highland
The New Mexico Activities Association is excited to announce the recipients of the 2019-2020 NMAA Foundation Scholarships. Over 150 students were nominated or submitted applications, with a total of $22,000 being distributed through 18 different scholarships. There were nine scholarship categories. The NMAA will recognize each of these students individually on our website and social media platforms.
Marina Seheon of Highland High School received a $2,500 Extraordinary Participation Scholarship presented by the NMAA Foundation.
Marina Seheon is a senior at Highland High School, who carries a 4.51 GPA. During her high school career, Seheon has participated in basketball, golf, swimming & diving, tennis and volleyball and has been a team captain on her basketball, tennis and volleyball teams.
Seheon is also involved in music activities, including marching band, concert band, honor band and jazz band for the Hornets. She has been a member of the Student Senate, the National Honor Society, Model United Nations, Empower and Dream Makers.
Other activities Seheon participates in are: Speech & Debate, French Honor Society, Black Student Union and MEChA.
