VIDEO TRIBUTE TO THE CLASS OF 2020

To the seniors of the Class of 2020,

You had to deal with a situation the world has never seen before.  It was a challenge affecting us all in so many different ways, from Aztec to Artesia, Clovis to Carlsbad, Shiprock to Santa Teresa and all parts of the state.

But tough times don’t last, tough people do.

Many of you unfortunately missed out on one last chance to compete for reasons beyond your control. But you’ve responded with strength, maturity and resilience. A pandemic wiped away your chance to ‘officially’ celebrate the culmination of years of hard work with a traditional graduation, but class of 2020 you will not be forgotten.

As your four years in high school come to a close, remember that all those memories are not erased because of a virus.  Those games, those victories, those performances, those friendships will remain forever.

Class of 2020, we salute you. You’re strong, you’re tough, you overcome adversity and you carry the spirit of New Mexico.
