CARLSBAD BASEBALL REACHES MILESTONE MARK

On Friday, the Carlsbad High School Cavemen beat Roswell High School in a doubleheader 17-5 and 10-2. With those two wins, Carlsbad now has 1401 wins.

According to the National Federation of State High School’s Record Book, the Cavemen become the 6^th school nationally to win 1400 or more games all-time. Carlsbad High School started their baseball program in 1947. The Caveman have won 12 state titles in 16 state championship games. With this season’s team, the Cavemen will have a record 63 state tournament appearances in their 77-year history.  They have had only 3 losing seasons.
