SANTA TERESA BASEBALL COACH PICKS UP CAREER WIN #300
With a 13-2 victory over Silver on Friday night, Santa Teresa baseball coach Gilbert Bailon picked up his 300th career win. “The 300 wins isn’t what’s important,” said Bailon. “What matters most to me is helping my boys eventually become better husbands and fathers. It’s teaching them about commitment and dedication in whatever they decide to do in life.”
Bailon started coaching at Santa Teresa High School in 2001. His current overall record is 300-265-4. This will be his final season coaching at Santa Teresa. Bailon is the 7th head baseball coach in New Mexico to reach the 300-win plateau.
Santa Teresa (13-6) is at Chaparral for a double header on Friday night.
