Carlsbad’s Faith Aragon Named 2nd Team All-American

Carlsbad High School standout pitcher Faith Aragon was recently named to the MaxPreps All-American Second Team.  Aragon posted a 16-1 record last season and helped lead Carlsbad to a second consecutive Class 5A State Championship.  The left-handed senior posted a 0.61 ERA in 103.2 innings of work, striking out 189 batters.  Aragon recorded three no-hitters in 2023. She also hit 13 home runs with 52 RBIs last season.  Aragon was also the Gatorade New Mexico Softball Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.  Aragon signed to play softball at UTEP.
