DION’S STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: JAIDYN LEWIS, RAMAH HIGH SCHOOL
Each month, we will spotlight a student from New Mexico who is involved in various athletics and/or activities. Here’s a look at this month’s Dion’s Student Spotlight. She is a senior at Ramah High School who is involved in volleyball and basketball. “I’ve been playing basketball my whole life, ever since I can remember,” she said. “You can learn lifelong lessons and the teamwork aspect of the game helps teach you to become a leader.” She recently reached the 1,000-point mark for her career. Her older sister, and now coach, set the New Mexico record for most points in a game and season, along with holding the mark for most 3-pointers in a game/season/career. “It’s an honor to be her younger sister and it’s crazy that she’s my coach,” she said. “She’s the greatest.”
After high school, this senior has plans to attend New Mexico State University and study to become a nurse. “I like helping others,” she remarked. Meet Jaidyn Lewis from Ramah High School.
